Where are we? Where did we come from? And Where do we go from Here?
Prochaine Station is a performative guided meditation about and informed by the neuroscience of navigation. While experiencing it, participants will become aware of recent developments in our understanding of the neurological processes involved in navigation and negotiate for themselves their own senses of interoception, movement, and direction. The far-reaching goal of this recently developed practice is to interrogate seriously the proposition urged upon us by climate activist Greta Thunberg: Listen to the scientists. And then, take real action. This piece takes this proposition very literally. Can we spend some time listening to a scientist explain current research, and, with the proper guidance, take informed, real action based on the conclusions discovered?
